Sterile gloves help prevent surgical site infections and reduce the risk of exposure to blood and body fluid pathogens for the health care worker. Studies have shown that 18% to 35% of all sterile gloves have tiny holes after surgery, and up to 80% of the tiny puncture sites go unnoticed by the surgeon.
We provide Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) to produce sterile latex gloves.
In the processing of concentrated latex, ammonia, diammonium phosphate (DAP) is normally used for preserving the fresh latex, precipitating magnesium and stabilizing the fresh latex. DAP is added one night before the centrifugal process to precipitate magnesium ammonium phosphate (sludge).
